This paper conducts a commuting burden based analysis of the full-time workers who live in rented housing to examine how it interacts with the social-economic characteristics. The study starts with a higher-level analysis based on the collected data to explore the disproportionate commuting burdens experienced by Metro Vancouver workers in multiple industries. Then, a series of static and interactive maps on a census tract level are produced to identify the employment centres. According to the employment hotspots, this paper identifies worker characteristics correlated with disproportionate commuting burdens.
